Our Process

Our world is incredibly hectic. Our devices and networks clamor for our attention, but we only have so much to give.

Humans can handle this kind of stimulation, but we weren’t built for it. Our nervous system has evolved to respond to stress with fight, flight or freeze and we’re unable to just flip the switch back to a more restful state. The state where we’re able to respond to life’s ups and downs with more ease and resiliency.

Our process and tools give you everything you need to create more deliberate time and get back to a state of feeling more you. We’re not trying to improve you -- you’re already perfect --  you just need a little help to be the most you, most of the time. 

Each box comes with three tool cards and a recommended process so that you can begin to build your self-care library at home. Add past favorites into your routine as you’d like, or swap them if that’s what feels right. This way, each routine is customizable for the you in each moment.

  • Commit the Time

    Self-care is always shuffled to the bottom of your priority list. An IDYLHOUR box makes it easy to set aside time and restore yourself, with everything you need in one place. You’ll pick a date and be encouraged to think of this as an appointment -- with the same respect and care you’d take in making a date with a friend.

  • Set the Stage

    We include a luxe, hand poured candle in each IDYLHOUR box for a few reasons. One, you’re worth lighting the nice candle for! But also, we want you to physically mark the beginning of your IDYLHOUR routine with a little pomp and ceremony.

  • Aromatics

    More so than our other senses, scent is linked with memory. We want this relaxed state you’re creating for yourself to be easily accessed even after your ritual is over, so we include an aromatherapy element in each box. Use it at the beginning of your routine and lock in the ability to return to the calm state you’ve cultivated.

  • It's in the Cards

    Our BodyTalk, GoodWords and ClearMind cards are designed to take you out of your anxious or just thought-filled mind and into a more relaxed, embodied state. Here, we can find the rest and rejuvenation we really want.

  • Indulge

    This step isn’t about making you more attractive — you’re perfect, remember? It’s about the feeling of indulging yourself, taking care of yourself, of making your time feel more luxurious. We always include a spa product from a small business and a specialty, nourishing tea.

  • Time Well Spent
